Welltec Corporation, a Denmark-based provider of robotic well solutions for the oil and gas industry, has been awarded a direct contract from Total Angola for the supply of conveyance and intervention services
Total Angola has awarded Welltec the three year contract to provide its conveyance and intervention technologies and services.
Welltec said that its technologies and services will help increase flexibility and reduce the mobilisation time for key intervention operations compared to conventional intervention methods utilising coiled tubing or jointed pipe.
Other services include a reduction in the number of offshore lifting operations, personnel and footprint, all contributing to improved risk management, particularly in offshore environments.
