UK’s information technology firm AVEVA has announced that Total E&P Nigeria Limited has adopted its Engineering & Design solutions as part of an integrated engineering and design approach in the country

Additionally, Total E&P Nigeria Limited has invested in acquired licenses for AVEVA PDMS, AVEVA Instrumentation, AVEVA Electrical, AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA Diagrams and AVEVA Review and has fully implemented the software across its local site modifications and repair projects, the company said.

AVEVA’s Integrated Engineering & Design approach reportedly increases project efficiency and reduces engineering and design costs by offering complementary products that draw on common processes, disciplines and deliverables, through a single managed information model.

Fredy Ktourza, senior vice-president, Western Europe and Africa, AVEVA, said,“This important deployment will help us to increase our footprint within Nigeria, not only with the IOC’s, but also with the local engineering and construction contractors that are engaged with projects throughout the country.”

He added that AVEVA’s Integrated Engineering & Design approach gives a flexible and effective 3D design and engineering environment that increases project efficiency and enables real-time collaboration, across the Total E&P Nigeria Limited and with its local contractors. “We greatly value the trust they have placed in our technology and service,” Ktourza added.
