Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) has launched the new Experion Elevate, a real-time process supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) solution, aiming to achieve predictable cost, operational efficiency, integrated safety and cyber security, reducing the need for onsite hardware and support
The announcement was made at the company’s annual Honeywell Users Group symposium.
SCADA, as a secure and scalable service, aims to help the operators with new features, flexibility in deployment, business solutions and services to the companies.
Honeywell said that the new Experion Elevate is a member of Honeywell’s suite of cloud-enabled solutions for operations technology and information technology, and has been designed to reduce the concern of purchase, installation, hosting and maintenance of hardware and software on premises.
The Experion SCADA solution is further directed to help the customers with both traditional on-premises solution and off-premises solution, intending to meet the business needs operational efficiency and easy integration of technology.
John Rudolph, vice president and general manager of HPS projects and automation solutions, said, “By choosing Experion Elevate, process industry companies can take their performance to a new level with visibility of field assets from a central monitoring site and/or mobile locations.”
Honeywell emphasised that the use of a human-machine interface (HMI) with a combination of distributed system architecture (DSA) in the new Experion SCADA has allowed multiple SCADA servers to operate as one within a single asset or across the enterprise.
The company further added that it will enable data monitoring, storage and analysis and an integrated field instrumentation across the businesses.
The company added that with Experion Elevate, the customers will be benefitted from a lower cost of entry with the potential for reduced CAPEX, rapid project deployment and lower lifecycle costs.
