Oilfields product company Forum Energy Technologies has been awarded a supply order of four remotely operated vehicle (ROV) systems from a Nigerian company for services offshore the west African country

Each ROV will be complete with a Dynacon Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS), the US-based company said. The order by Marine Platforms Limited (MPL) also includes three Perry heavy work class XLX Evo 200HP ROVs, the latest generation of the Perry XLX series.

Bill Boyle, senior V-P of Forum Subsea Technologies, said, “Forum Energy Technologies is pleased with its continued association with Marine Platforms Limited.

“The choice of Perry vehicles for their new vessel and for use in such an operationally demanding market represents a vote of confidence in the reliability of the XLX series and reflects our strategy of providing first class engineering and after-market service to our clients.”

Two of the systems will be mobilised aboard MPL’s new ‘African Inspiration’ multi-purpose service vessel for service offshore West Africa and the other two will be added to their global fleet.
