Drilling rig systems and components manufacturer, Bentec, has sold 14 Top Drive Systems to Algerian company Entreprise Nationale des Travaux aux Puits (ENTP)
The contract represents the largest single sale of Bentec Top Drives in the company’s history.
All 14 TD-500-HT Top Drive Systems will be manufactured at Bentec’s German facility in Bad Bentheim with delivery partially in 2012 as well as the first half of 2013.
“Bentec has won this contract because of our superior price, quality and operational performance over our international competitors,” Bentec’s chief executive officer, Dirk Schulze, said.
“Algeria has been identified as one of our growth markets with various Bentec rigs and top drives already in operation.
“We will continue to support the local drilling industry and look forward to a prosperous relationship with ENTP.”
Due to the continued demand, Bentec is set to invest in increasing the capacity for this product line by launching a new 275 ton Top Drive this month and a 750 ton Top Drive in 2013.
