Technip has awarded Aker Solutions a contract to deliver umbilicals for the Girassol Resources Initiative (GirRI) Phase 2 development offshore Angola
GirRI is located in Angola’s Block 17, 1,300 metres below sea level and 210km west of Luanda.
Aker Solutions will deliver two power and control steel tube umbilicals, one power cable and ancillary equipments.
Tom Munkejord, head of Aker Solutions’ umbilical business area, said, “We look forward to executing this project in close collaboration with Technip.”
The value of the contract has yet to have been disclosed.
