Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO) has awarded Kaztec Engineering Limited (KEL) a US$84.5mn EPC contract for the Trans-Niger oil pipeline
The contract, valid for a year, will be the first major pipeline project to be executed by onshore and offshore fabrication and installation services firm KEL for Shell.
“The objective of the project is to construct a three-inch, 58km loop line for oil transportation from the Ogale manifold to Bonny Terminal, in the south-south region of Nigeria,” a KEL statement added.
Toyin Olagunju, general manager for offshore and shallow water projects at SNEPCO, said that he looked forward to the successful completion of the project.
