President Muhammadu Buhari has named Emmanuel Kachikwu as the new Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)
The new NNPC chief executive was previously the executive vice chairman and general counsel of Exxon-Mobil (Africa).
In a statement made by presidential spokesman Femi Adesina, said Buhari also approved the appointment of Umaru Danbatta as the new executive vice chairman and chief Executive of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC.
Kachiku replaces the former GMD,
Joseph Darwa recently left the post, at the NNPC headquarters in Abuja.
Kachiku is now replacing him Kachikwu, trained lawyer, was born and raised in Onicha Ugbo in Aniocha North local government area of Delta State.
