Chevron’s subsidiary Cabinda Gulf Oil Company has awarded Dutch firm Fugro a contract to support its development programme at Block 0 off the coast of Angolas Cabinda Province
The three-year contract includes the provision of offshore positioning services and accurate navigation systems for Chevron’s drilling units, vessels and structures, together with both onshore and offshore oil survey services in the country.
Fugro’s offshore geophysical data acquisition services will include data processing, interpretation and reporting.
At the Cabinda Gulf Oil Company-operated oil town of Malongo, the Dutch company’s survey services is likely to consist of subsidence evaluations, topographical surveys, chart production, interpretation and reporting, company sources said.
