Operators will be able to take advantage of improved information-gathering with a new subsea motion and data logging sensor system from Pulse Structural Monitoring
The INTEGRIpod NXT platform has been developed to meet the needs of oil and gas operators. Typical applications include linear displacement and static and dynamic inclination of subsea structures, such as BOPs, wellheads, conductor systems, mooring lines, and jumpers. It has on-board processing capabilities, and measured data is processed in real time and transmitted wirelessly. This new platform allows for deployments of more than one year between battery change-outs. The "smart-logging" feature alows for phenomena to only be recorded over client-defined thresholds, significantly reducing campaign costs and the need for offshore interventions.
To ensure the platform is durable in all conditions, it was tested in the cold weather of the North Sea and the warm climate off the coast of Brazil.
