The NNPC has a nationwide pipelines network to distribute crude and white products connected to 21 white products and tank farms across the nation, and according to NNPC movement of crude and white products were done through these pipelines over the years until the act of vandalism rendered the pipelines inefficient.
The NNPC has said for June 2020 it saw 77 per cent jump in the number of cases of oil and fuel pipeline vandalism from the previous month with as many as 106 pipeline points breached.
