Steve Swanson has been appointed as head of cranes and lifting for EnerMech in Africa to support the business’ growth following a number of project wins in the last five months
Swanson has more than 40 years’ experience in crane maintenance and operations and has held several senior roles including executive director – Africa and regional operations director within the sector. He has worked closely with government bodies and has a strong track record of executing multi-million-pound contracts with a key focus on service delivery and high HSEQ standards.
Swanson is expected to play a key role in the business’ new training and competency solution service located in Luanda. The company recently launched its new enhanced premises at the centre of Angola’s largest port which comprises classrooms, an on-site simulator and a practical facility for banksman slinger and rigger courses. The team also has the capabilities to deliver remote training to clients’ operations globally.
