The company will deploy its vessel Polarcus Samur for the survey, set to take 40 days, with an unnamed client. No contract value was given.

The contract follows earlier awards given to fellow Norwegian seismic companies, TGS and Petroleum Geo-Services, for 3D surveys in Angola’s pre-salt play, where licence were recently awarded by the Luanda government to oil companies including Statoil, BP, Eni and Repsol.
