The well tested separate areas of the Tweneboa field, hitting a nine-metre column of pay and a 34m column of pay.
The well was drilled by the Deepwater Millennium drillship to 3906m in water depths of 1601m.
The rig will remain in the Tano Block to drill the top-hole section of the Tweneboa-4 appraisal well before moving to drill the Enyenra-2A well, which will appraise the Owo-1 oil discovery.
Tullow operates the field with a 49.95 per cent stake with partners Kosmos (18 per cent), Anadarko (18 per cent), Sabre Oil & Gas (4.05 per cent) and the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) (10 per cent carried interest).
