Croatia-based Crosco Integrated Drilling & Well Services has started operations for Chile’s Sipetrol International in Egypt, as it looks to return to action in North Africa
Crosco said it was providing drilling services on the Opal Sinai-1 well, in the Rommana concession in the North Sinai region of Egypt, as a part of a two firm plus one optional well contract.
''The commencement of Crosco drilling activities in Egypt signals recommencement of Crosco drilling activities in North Africa,” Crosco president Igor Vrban said.
“Crosco is actively preparing additional rigs in Egypt and is working to quickly return to work with three Crosco drilling rigs based in Libya.''
