Veolia to showcase innovations at Africa Oil Week

Veolia will present a range of solutions that focuses on the needs of both upstream and downstream customers in the oil and gas industry in the upcoming 23rd Africa Oil Week Conference & Exhibition

With rising global demand, highly volatile prices and increasingly stringent environmental regulations, the oil and gas industry faces three major challenges: reduce costs, optimise the performance of its industrial base assets and improve its environmental footprint. According to the company, Veolia’s range of solutions is built to meet all three challenges.

For upstream, Veolia builds and operates treatment systems for injection water and produced water, offers mobile water treatment solutions, manages waste (including hazardous waste), decommissions platforms, and offers a range of services tailored to the specific needs of the sector.

For the downstream sector, Veolia treats process water, wastewater and cooling water, provides surface treatment and automated cleaning services, treats hazardous waste, produces steam and electricity, optimises energy efficiency in facilities and recovers products such as solvents, oily sludge, etc.

Veolia innovative services will be on display at its booth in the exhibition area of the 23rd Africa Oil Week Conference & Exhibition will take place from 31 October - 4 November 2016 in Cape Town, South Africa. Yves Thelier, vice-president, oil & gas & CPI, at Veolia will be also presenting on "NORMs waste management" on Thursday, 3 November in the Speakers Corner.
