The 2nd Uganda International Oil & Gas Summit is being hosted by the Ministry of Energy & Mineral Development at the behest of Hon. Minister, Irene Muloni
His Excellency, President Museveni will give the keynote and welcoming address at the forthcoming second Uganda International Oil & Gas Summit (UIOGS) taking place at the Kampala Serena on 22-23 November 2016.
The 2nd Uganda International Oil & Gas Summit is being hosted by the Ministry of Energy & Mineral Development at the behest of Hon. Minister, Irene Muloni. The timing of the Summit is of major importance to Uganda as it moves forward towards commercial oil production, with major projects under discussions.
The Summit will discuss and debate the future of oil and gas exploration and production in Uganda. A timely meeting for senior policy makers, global investors, oil and gas companies, lawyers, consultants and other stakeholders to find out more about the state of exploration and production as it is now and what challenges and opportunities lie ahead.
UIOGS will feature presentations from oil and gas industry leaders and experts in their fields from across the world. Major operators in Uganda CNOOC, Total and Tullow are all contributing to the programme in addition to Uganda’s National Oil Company.
The Summit is to be held alongside a special focus event hosted by the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers who has selected Uganda to host its annual meeting given its pivotal position in the region.
