The Kenyan Ministry of Energy, in partnership with the event management company, Global Event Partners, is set to co-host the East African Oil and Gas (EAOG) Summit this November

The two day conference, which is to take place in Nairobi over November 12-14, 2012, will provide a stage for investors and industry experts, both international and regional, to share expertise and discuss the challenges and opportunities of east Africa.

Global Event Partners chairman Dr Mukhisa Kituyi confirmed, “The minister of energy is securing the presence of the key ministers in the region from Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, and South Sudan, so all the major players will be represented.”

Kenyan minister of energy Kiraitu Murungi announced, “These are extremely exciting times for the oil and gas sector throughout East Africa, both in terms of realisation of recent discoveries and also the huge potential that the region has to offer.

“The EAOG Summit comes at a perfect time when the world’s eyes are turning towards our region,” Murungi added.
