Abuja closure will not impact NOG2017

The Nigerian Oil and Gas conference 2017 will not be affected by the closure of Abuja Airport

The 16th annual NOG event is taking place from 27 February - 2 March 2017 in Abuja and organisers have ensured that the closure of the Abuja Airport will not affect the show. Organisers have stated the closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport will commence on the 8 March 2017, one week after NOG 2017 closes. 

According to CWC, the organisers of NOG, 'contrary to an earlier announcement that the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja will be closed in February and March 2016 for repairs, the Federal Ministry of Transport (Aviation) in an advert notice to industry stakeholders, signed by Alh. Sabiu Zakari, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, announced that the essential maintenance works will commence on 8th March 2017, one week after NOG 2017 closes.'

Over 1500 government representatives and industry players have already confirmed their attendance at the 2017 NOG including; Federal Government of Nigeria, Federal Ministry of Power, Arco, Century Group, Delta Afrik, Exxon, Honeywell and Oando among others.
