Petronas has announced that it has started talks on selling its 80 per cent stake in South African fuel retailer Engen Petroleum Limited

South African state-owned oil company PetroSA is said to be considering purchasing the share, according sources close to the deal.

Private equity firm Pembani Group Limited owns the remaining 20 per cent of the Cape Town-based petroleum firm.
