The National Oil Corporation of Libya headquarters organised a meeting between the NOC chairman, Farhat Ben Gdara, and Khaled Hashem, the regional director of Honeywell

Ben Gdara stated that as part of its strategic plan, the corporation wants to achieve self-sufficiency and reduce dependence on fuel imports. In response, Honeywell committed to sending a team to visit the refineries and conduct an evaluation report on each of them with recommendations for improvement.

The meeting was also attended by members of the corporation's board of directors including, Masoud Suleman, Khalifa Abdul Sadig and Ahmed Ammar, as well as directors of technical departments in the NOC, management committee members, and directors of technical departments of affiliate companies. On behalf of Honeywell, executive director, James Moshi; director of business development for Middle East and North Africa, Nahla Nasre, and several of the company's specialists were in attendance.
