Total E&P and CNOOC to take part in UIOGS 2019

Total will join the Ministry of Energy in Kampala for important updates on Phase 2 and the Final Investment Decision (FID) for the Homa – Tanga Pipeline Project

Total E&P and CNOOC will be joining forces with Irene Muloni, Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Minister of Finance Matia Kasaija and Minister of Trade and Cooperatives Amelia Kyambadde, at the Uganda International Oil & Gas Summit next month to discuss and debate the next steps in the development of the 1,445 km Homa-Tanga pipeline.

The parties will lead the UIOGS programme, which will take place from 25-26 September, the only platform to bring together the entire oil and gas community and to support ministries concerned with oil and gas developments across Uganda and the East Africa region.

In addition to the update from Total and CNOOC, Proscovia Nabbanja, acting CEO, UNOC has recently confirmed her participation in the UIOGS 2019 programme. Ms Nabbanja will take part in a panel discussion looking at the impact of the oil sector in the region play out over the next five years.
