Marsol International will hold a Marine Hose Management Seminar in Dubai, highlighting the trending topics in the hose industry, including Marsol’s new methodology for the oil and gas terminals market
This seminar, taking place on 14 April, will cover a variety of hose management topics such as hose inventory, hose change out and hose integrity that are essential to today’s offshore terminal and hose markets.
Mike Young, director of Marsol International, said, “Our new hose launch system is an overall upgrade to ensure reliability and maintenance of the marine hoses. It is aimed at reducing degradation problems that arise over time.”
Oil and gas marine hoses are the main conduits for offshore product transfer and are critical components in the distribution chain. These hoses can be exposed to harsh environmental and operating conditions however must also comply to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QSHE) standards.
Marsol’s hose management service is designed to avoid unplanned shutdowns, and instead improves reliability and asset availability whilst ensuring efficiency and minimising operational costs.
“Our proven operational engineering capabilities and experience, combined with our proprietary ASIM Programs, is the foundation of our hose management initiative,” Young added.
Hose inventory management minimises operational and production interruptions and eliminates stockpiles of discarded hoses on site. The service contributes towards warranty extension programs from Marsol’s OEM Alliance Partners.
Additionally, Hose changeout is a necessity to comply with Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) guidelines. The service reduces QHSE risks by using proven methodologies, qualified and experienced personnel, appropriate vessels and assets.
“We aim to provide a comprehensive hose management service that ensures a safe, reliable and fit-for-purpose operation of marine hoses. The service allows the client to focus on their core business activities without the need for additional investment or specialist in-house capability. This cradle to grave approach and our basket of point solutions is designed to relieve the terminal owner/operator of the management responsibility,” he concluded.
