Hosted by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and organised by dmg Events, the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) will see a return to the live in-person format with the event taking place in Abu Dhabi from 15-18 November 2021
As global economic activity gathers momentum following the shadow of COVID-19, 2021 will be a pivotal year for the oil and gas industry as it doubles down on the challenges and opportunities created by the need to balance supply and demand, long-term energy use growth, decarbonisation and pressures to meet climate change obligations.
Omar Suwaina Al Suwaidi, chairman of ADIPEC, said, “ADIPEC 2021 will host a unique gathering of those at the forefront of the post-COVID-19 recovery and those who have a responsibility for ensuring the world has access to the energy it needs to deliver a sustainable and prosperous future for everyone.”
“ADIPEC continues to deliver a powerful forum for industry stakeholders and its diverse value chain to display their innovation, launch new products, strike partnerships and conduct the business that will fast track recovery and highlight pathways to a successful future. ADIPEC 2021 will help drive the practical changes the industry requires, to embrace and ensure future resilience and to deliver long-term, sustainable value,” Al Suwaidi added.
The 2020 virtual edition of ADIPEC saw 84,291 delegates accessing 292,612 hours of live and on demand content from 288 conference sessions, featuring 941 speakers.
Christopher Hudson, president of Global Energy, dmg events, commented, “Building on the success of ADIPEC 2020, dmg events is looking forward to welcoming the industry back for our 2021 edition. As the industry continues to respond to market forces, ADIPEC provides a unique platform to keep businesses informed and connected and to support the advancement and acceleration of the energy industry.”
ADIPEC 2021 is projected to attract more than 155,000 energy professionals from more than 60 countries with approximately 2,200 companies and more than 20 national exhibiting pavilions.
