DOMINION GAS IS planning to open a new gas plant in Ghana. The firm anticipates that investment will exceed US$2.2mn and intends for the plant to be operational by June 2009.
The Ghana plant will act as a hub allowing the company to better service the surrounding oil producing countries including Nigeria and Angola. Dominion Gas project director Russel Davies said: “Opening a plant in Ghana is a major step in Dominion Gas’s plans for expansion. Within the first year we expect to recruit an additional five members of staff, many of whom will be indigenous Ghanaian residents.”
