Deepwater driller Ocean Rig has announced that it has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for its drillship Ocean Rig Skyros to work for Total E&P Angola
The LoA is for five wells or a minimum 275 days contract for offshore drilling activity with an estimated backlog of approximately US$190mn, the company said.
The LoA is subject to completion of definitive documentation and receipt of regulatory approvals.
The tenure is expected to commence upon delivery of the drillship in October 2013, Ocean Rig officials added.
