The new finds were made on blocks 239a and 244a in the Tinrhert area in Illizi basin, the company said.
Sontrach said the Akamil-2 well on Block 239a flowed at a rate of about 600 bopd, from the Upper Devonian F2 formation between depths of 1960 and 1967 m.
The Antar Est-2 well on Block 244a flowed gas at a rate of about 194,000 cu m of gas and 555 barrels of condensate per day from the same formation.
Algeria is the world's fourth-largest exporter of natural gas and the eighth biggest exporter of crude.
