KenolKobil wins tender for KPRL's crude requirements

KENOLKOBIL LTD HAS been awarded a Kenya Oil Industry Crude Oil Open Tender System (OTS) Tender for delivery of Murban Crude Oil cargo during the month of February 2011.p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">KENOLKOBIL LTD HAS been awarded a Kenya Oil Industry Crude Oil Open Tender System (OTS) Tender for delivery of Murban Crude Oil cargo during the month of February 2011.

The cargo totalling 600,000 barrels (80,000MT) is for refining at the Kenya Petroleum Refineries Limited (KPRL) to meet requirements for the domestic market and neighbouring countries.

KenolKobil won the tender on the basis of a highly competitive premium, which is in support of the Government’s efforts to reduce petroleum prices in the country. The company will deliver the crude oil cargo in a 1st Class Double Hull Vessel in adherence to International Maritime Standards to ensure safety and safeguard the environment.
