Frontier Resources has announced that it has been granted a two-year extension for two onshore blocks in Namibia’s Owambo Basin
According to the company, the original licence for Blocks 1717 and 1718 was awarded in January 2012.
Frontier Resources had recently struck oil in Blocks 1717 and 1817, located in the basin onshore.
This reportedly paved way for the the company to request for licence extension to collect additional soil gas samples for geochemical analysis and to acquire 2D seismic data over the blocks prior to the commencement of any drilling programme.
