Nigerian oil firm Oando Energy Resources (OER) has announced that full production has resumed at its Ebendo field at a rate of 3,200 bpd following the completion of repairs to the Kwale-Akri oil delivery pipeline
On 12 November 2012, production from the Ebendo field was shut as a result of maintenance on the 10-inch Kwale-Akri pipeline, connecting Ebendo field (OML 56) to the Brass export terminal, which is operated by Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited.
Pade Durotoye, CEO of OER, said, “Re-establishing full integrity of the Kwale-Akri pipeline is an important development.
“Not only are we able to re-commence our existing production volumes, but we are also able to support our 2013 Ebendo drilling campaign with sufficient takeaway capacity. We also continue to make good progress with the establishment of an alternative pipeline that will further support development of this field.”
A partial resumption of production from the Ebendo field commenced on 27 December 2012.
