Dana Gas to participate at 24th World Energy Congress

The UAE Organising Committee of the 24th World Energy Congress has announced the signing of an agreement with Dana Gas, which will become a silver sponsor and exhibitor at the Congress

Dana Gas aims to play an important role in the rapidly growing natural gas sector of the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region (MENASA) through the deployment of sizeable assets in Egypt, Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the UAE.

As a Silver sponsor and exhibitor at the Congress, Dana Gas is set to complement the theme of the Congress “Energy for Prosperity” by showcasing its sustainable growth and investment strategies in natural gas exploration and production in the Middle East and the wider region. It will also highlight the chief role the private sector plays in boosting investment in natural gas - as the region’s demand has more than doubled in the last decade alone.

Dr Patrick Allman-Ward, CEO at Dana Gas, said, “We aim to ensure that we contribute to local value creation and sustainable development objectives whilst also playing a constructive role in shaping the further economic development of the region and country as a whole. We look forward to bringing our expertise to the event and sharing our experience with other stakeholders.”

Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the UAE, the 24th World Energy Congress is expected to take place from 9-12 September 2019 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

This will mark the first time the Congress has been hosted in a Middle Eastern city, and by an OPEC member country, in the event’s 94-year history.
